vectra cim module fault p0601 code

hi having probs getting straight answer from any garage in nz about what will fix prob engine keeps dying while driving garage tells me its the cim mod but cant guarantee this will fix the problem an at $800-$900 just for part i am weary thanks for any feedback or answers to this question thanks frostyboy :)

p0601 code is quoteinternal control module memory check sum error aint got a clue what it means sorry

P0601 means there is a problem with the ECM/PCM read only memory (rom) or read access memory (RAM) good look in derbyshire a guy repairs ecu and that for around £250 for repair your old one or £350 for new one
