i have an A 160 mrcedes benz with an automatic gearbox in it, it drives but the problem is it doesnt change gears when you driving. checked the oil level but fine. if you shift to P or reverse there is always a sound coming from the gearbox and it jerks the car too.replaced gearbox from another written off car wich was operating fine but not when it was placed into my car. computer displays "module failure electrical" any solution to this problem?

Hello, I know your message is old but how did you resolve your problem? I also have an A 160 mercedes benz W186 with an automatic gearbox in it, it drives but the problem is it doesn't change gears as yours. The car is in "safe mode". Exact same behavior issue like your car. Thank you.

how tro fix that my 1 also duev that

Guys does this then mean the gear box needs to be changing. I was actually trying to see what gear boxes are similar to purchase

check also your gear gate , might need replacement
