P0170 astra mk5
Will a cheap after market airfilter cause this code
p0170 to come up because it's allowing to much
air flow it's a 2.0 turbo Vauxhall astra mk5
I would have thought it unlikely that the air filter is the cause of your trouble, but why not put a genuine filter in to be sure? I would think that there's another fault with your car and the new air filter is probably just a coincidence. Let us know if you find a cure
Well so far after changing the air filter and box back to standard, and have placed iridium spark plugs in and a new coilpack as it was misfiring too, an oil change, it seems to be running fine, I'm not holding my breathe though, last but not least the last thing to try is a new maf sensor, it's running between 3-3.2 gr\s is this normal for this car?
possible causes 1x intake air leak 2x faulty front heated oxygen sensor 3x ignition misfire 4x faulty fuel injectors 5x exhaust leaks 6x incorrect fuel presure 7x lack of fuel 8x faulty maf- mass air flow 9x incorrect positve crank case ventilation
also A dirty air filter, or dirty air filter housing or dirty mass air flow (MAF) sensor, are common cause for bringing up the P0170 code
