It's going into LIMP MOD, this stops damage to the engine, your car needs to go on a reader to find out what code/codes are in the ECU, driving your car can cause more damage, get it checked ASAP.

Hi, there must be a Fault with in the ECU, have you looked at changing this, the other move is when the spanner light comes on and goes into limp mode, don't switch off and start, get the car to a garage or someone who can read the codes whilst in Limp mode, the option is an ECU change.

the answer to my problem was , a valve in the air intake which is a one way valve, this had gone faulty and working two way, vauxhall dealer found it £170 LATER.

will a faulty clutch switch on my 2010 Corsa 1.3 diesel send it into limp mode ?

well this depends on the model of your opel , if you hold the brake and accelerator switch the vehicle to the on position , it should display a code of its own(odometer clock will change ) which you can google and find out the problem yourself . but to me , i would say replace the MAP sensor . let me know if this works for you ....

I also get this problem but it only ever seems to arise during the colder time of the year. Will run absolutely fine without any light all spring/summer then as soon as it gets towards October/November through to February it seems to be relentless repetition of light on, Limp mode, drive for a couple of minutes, engine off and on then light goes off and car runs fine again. No fault codes come up on diagnostic and worried if I take it to a garage or dealers they’ll rip my eyeballs out charging me for things they ‘think’ is the problem without actually making it any better :/

The problem I had was from the turbo actuator gets stuck free it off with a long flat head screwdriver and spray it with copper grease means you have to get under the car but worked for me and has been fine up untill a few days ago where underneath I went again freed because stuck again now perfect again no more limp mode or loss of power

My son is having the same problem as @dairylee88 with his Corsa, we too are reluctant to take it to the dealership as we don’t want to be ripped off!! However, the car is only 18 months old and is on lease so surely this should be covered under warranty? I’m wandering if it should be a recall if a few people are having the same problems!

Well, my problem has been solved... There was a litle contact fault at the accelerator pedal, it occured only in cold & humid weather... Sollution: disconnecting the connector, contact spray, reconnecting...
