Hi,I have a 1.8TSI Skoda Superb, currently i have 225 45 R17 tyres on the car, low profile not suitable for Indian Roads, get damaged easily, can replace with 225 55 R17 or 215 55 R17 tyres ? pls let me knw ...
I want to replace as current tyres don't last for too long ... develop bubbles etc ... hope 225
55 R17 or 215 55 R17 will suit the car ... pls let me knw .. thanks ...
The 225/55R17 and the 215/55R17 tires have a larger diameter, so you might have some clearance issues and it would make your speedometer read improperly. Also, the 215mm wide tires probably won't fit on the 17" rims. The best thing to do would be to go down to 16" rims and 225/55R16 tires.
Dorian have right only 16 rims and tires 205 55 16 here is tire calculator http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tirecalc.php?tires=225- 45r17-215-55r17 only 3 % is allowed for vehicle stability have a nice day
will 225/50 R17 have clearance issues ? changing to 16 inch rims will be expensive .. i need to find a solution with the 17 inch rims .. pls let me knw ..
