I am looking at Jag XF s and there is a number in brackets in the description. Is the the power? and can you remap to up the power?

Hi there, yes, the figure in brackets will generally be the power output of the car. If you see it quoted as PS then that's metric horsepower rather than bhp, but they're just about the same – 200ps is actually 197bhp. Just about any modern turbocharged engine can be remapped to increase power and torque, but it's not always advisable as it will put an extra strain on components (especially gearboxes) and will invalidate any warranty. If you do decide on a remap do as much research as possible on which the reputable companies are.
