Renault Megane 1.6
My Renault Megane has recently had a new drive shaft fitted. Since then the SERV light has been on twice, and now the Warning light for monitoring gas exhaust has began to flash - but not all the time. The car also appears to be misfiring a bit whilst driving. It has been on diagnostics computer and that has brought up the rear Lambda sensor? Is it possible that it is more likely a coil as car has never been great at holding revs when first starting up?
I would have thought the most likely cause of the fault is the lambda sensor as that is the item that has been highlighted on the diagnostic check. It is true that diagnostics aren't fool proof and while coils can be a common cause of running faults I would replace the lambda sensor first, especially as the warning light for the exhaust gases has been intermittently flashing on. Let us know if the lambda sensor cures the problem - good luck on getting it fixed.
