Engine cutting out

My 2009 Renault Sandero 1.6 united, has been
using loads of fuel, now cutting out a D not
starting, had to tow to mechanic. service up to
date,  clutch cable been replaced 6 weeks ago,
crank sensor was replaced, diagnostic done,  car
goes a day or so and sane story, cuts out dead.
Battery is fairly new.

Have you had a full diagnostic check done, what code/codes did bring up, have you tried changing the coil packet/leads and spark plug's, other problem could be fuel pump on it's way out, or your running it low on fuel so your picking up debris from the bottom of the tank, which is blocking the fuel line, once it settles down the fuel can get through the pipes again.
