I have an extended warranty on my car called Automotion Warranty and it is Gold Cover. Just wondered if anyone had heard of this. The Gold Cover covers Engine Compartment, Fuel System, Clutch and Brakes, steering, Electrics and Electronics, Doors and Windows, Exhaust Gas System, Cockpit, Heating and Cooling Systems, Suspension. Underneath each heading is numerous lists of things it covers.
Looking through the brief booklet it says things like "Unlimited mileage for failure of covered parts", "Gold cover includes wear & tear on covered parts, where the claim is made at less than 70,000 miles".
Daft question, but I assume that any of these parts will be replaced free of charge due to this warranty cover if any parts should become faulty. The warranty was taken out at the dealer I bought the car from, the car is 2007 so relatively old but had only 30K on the clock. Anyway, I assume my dealer would know that I have this cover in place regardless of which branch I took it to, as the booklet itself shows no contact information, so I assume it's the dealer who is the contact ?

Hi GuruDZ4, this isn't a warranty company I've heard of, but from looking at the policy booklet online it would appear to be pretty comprehensive. When you take your car into a dealer for any servicing or repairs always inform them that it has a warranty on it, never assume they will know this already – much better to say upfront and then there can be no cause for confusion or problems further down the line. The website for the warranty company is http://automotionwarranty.net/ and the phone number for the Automation Administration is 0800 0778 489 – if you have any concerns I would give them a call. Sometimes with warranty companies you are expected to pay for the repair and then claim it back from the warranty company – it would be worth clarifying whether this is the case with your warranty. It is also generally the case that a warranty company will wish to give authorisation for the repair/replacement part before your garage goes ahead with the work – they will generally issue a claim number and this way there can be no confusion over what repairs were authorised. If your garage finds any work required that is covered by the warranty they should call Automotion before going ahead with the work. Hope this advice is useful!

I couldn't even find anything Googling about them as the booklet doesn't give much contact info other than an address. Thanks for letting me know that I should tell the dealer as I don't think they were aware at all that I had warranty cover. I will give the dealer and the warranty company a call. Great info once again.
