Vauxhall Corsa pedal test issue results
I have 1.2 16v Corsa d 07 petrol. Car is not running
right. My acceleration once the car has warmed up
goes flat and randomly picks up every now and
again. Sometimes if I've been on a longish journey
the car has a hard time to crank takes longer than
usual. The car has full service history last service
was 4,000 miles ago. I have done the pedal test
and got no fault codes but the engine management
light flashes ( not the spanner light) can anyone
help me ?
Hi there, your Corsa is known as a Corsa D (2006-2014 model) and as far as I know the pedal test only really works properly on the previous generation model, the Corsa C. You may have to get the car plugged in for diagnosis at an independent specialist to get the fault codes read, but from what you're describing I would thing it may be that the coil pack has gone faulty. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
Hi I had the car couple of weeks ago plugged into a tech 2 machine and no faults appeared. If it was coil pack shouldn't this trigger the eml? Plus can it really of gone at 58,000 miles?
I have a 2014 1.2 corsa from new and done 60k miles. I’m on my 4 coil pack. First went at 19k and two within the last two years. Vauxhall said there is no manufacturer fault but have heard of a few needing replacing. However it does seem more common a problem.
We have come across this before and in most cases it was the coil pack. Our diagnostic tool monitors the firing order till it spots the flat spot. You need to have it scanned and check for previous errors and pending errors Current errors are not important. regards DCVLUK
