One touch window problem

Hi iv got a vauxhall zafira 1.9cdi its a 2006 design
model  until recently my windows worked fine  but
now when i open the drivers windows it only opens
10mm every touch of the button same as if i close
it wer as before it use to open all the way down
with just one click all other windows work fine with
the one touch i dont know if this is part of it but
when i open the windows with the key fob they all
open and close apart from the drivers window plz
help iv tried closing window and holding button but
cant seem to get the click noise

Hi Dean, this could be a number of problems. Most simple one (and therefore probably unlikely but worth a try) is that the window channels have become dry and the window won't run smoothly. You could try spraying some silicone spray into the window channels where the glass slides up and down. However, it's more likely that the problem lies either with the wiring or the motor. Zafiras tend to suffer from the wiring to the door becoming damaged where it runs from the car's A pillar to the door. The constant moving of the wiring loom every time the door is open and closed can lead to the wiring becoming damaged - I's have a look at this first. There should be a plastic/rubber grommet which the wiring loom runs in between the A pillar and the door - check if there are any broken wires. If it's not that I would think there might be a problem with the window motor or the window regulator. Good luck in getting it fixed.
