I've seen 19" alloy wheels the same design as my cars current wheels but in another colour. Will they fit my car for definite? They came off a 2007 BMW X5 and mine's a 2005 BMW X5.
Hi Sunbeam_9, the wheels you have seen are from a second generation X5 and as such are not a direct replacement for your wheels as your car is a first generation X5. The bore size of the alloys (the hole in the middle) is different with your car having a 72.5mm centre hole and the 2007 alloy wheels having a 74mm hole. It is possible to fit a hub centric ring to make the new wheels fit, but it's also possible the wheel offset would be wrong (depending on which wheels you have in mind). You would be better off finding the correct wheels for your car and getting a wheel refurbisher to paint them a different colour if that's the look that you like.
Thank you so much for your very informative answer. I'm so glad I asked before purchasing them!
