2008 VW Polo replacement stereo

I’m fitting a Pioneer DEH-1900UP to a 2008 Polo
and having trouble getting it to turn off.  Anyone
else fad similar problems?

Do you mean that the radio still operates when the ignition is switched off? If so it sounds like you may have it wired wrong... are the ignition power cable and the main power cable the right way round?
