Not starting

Ive recently changed the starter and the battery but
my 02 1.2 polo won't fire. Ive tried bumping it and
jumping it with leads but to no avail, any thoughts
would be appreciated, cheers

I'm assuming this is the Polo with the three-cylinder 1.2-litre engine? If that's the case it maybe that you have a problem with the timing chain as these engines have a reputation for problems with this. The first thing I would do is to do a compression check on the engine as this will indicate whether there's a problem with the timing chain. Once that has been eliminated you can then trace why it won't fire – I suspect a fuel or ignition problem if the compression check show ok.
