Avg. Dealer Rating: (2 reviews) "Initially, I was quite happy when I visited the dealer to view and test drive the car. The car was very impressive and from its description of features had pretty much everything I wanted. However, when it came to negotiating a trade in deal for my existing car, they offered what seemed to me to be a ridiculously low price. I was not happy with this and told them that I would rather give the car away to someone who really needed it rather than accept their paltry sum offered. Not only were they not prepared to budge on the offer they made, they were not open to any sort of negotiation on the price they were asking for the car I was interested in either. However, having spent a couple of days assessing the value of the car on offer, I decided to go ahead with the purchase because it was difficult to find another car with the specification I wanted. I decided to keep my old car and dispose of it later myself. When I went to collect the car, I was in the showroom for what seemed an eternity whilst they did their utmost to convince me to purchase an extended warranty. Despite me telling them in no uncertain terms that I do not believe that such warranties are not worth the paper they are written on, they persisted in trying to convince me that theirs were different and that I may regret it if I did not take the extra warranty. I pointed out how much money I would potentially be paying out and the fact that if I saved that money myself, should I encounter any problems the likelihood was that I would have saved enough money to fix the problem anyway, yet still they persisted in trying to convince me. During all this time, the car was not even present for me to inspect prior to the handover. They said that it was still undergoing the preparation process. Also, they had another sales feature they wished to pursue. The offered me their "GardX Vehicle Protection System" which would, and I quote "Protect your paintwork and interior for life" Now, I am usually quite sceptical about such offers, but they must have begun to wear me down by this point because, against my better judgement, I purchased the extra protection for a mere £300! What was I thinking? I could have had the car valeted 6 times over for that amount of money. However, I was just glad to get away in the end, and to drive away in my new car with all its brilliant features. When I arrived home, which was about 40 miles away from the dealership by the way, I was pretty exhausted but just happy to be home with my new car. Soon, I began to explore the features of the car of which there were many. Sat Nav, Bluetooth Connectivity, Interior Mood Lighting, the list goes on and on. I decided to try out the reverse parking sensors. I drove closer and closer to my other car which was still on my drive but even though I went with about 18in of it there was not a sound! I got out of the car to investigate. There were no Parking Sensors! I got out the print out of the details for the car which had been provided to me by the dealer. Yes, it definitely stated that the car was fitted with parking sensors. Now don't get me wrong, it's a Mini, if push comes to shove I can do without parking sensors right? Yes, but if I've paid for them, I have every right to expect the to be fitted don't I? Well no, apparently not according to the Salesman I later spoke to about the problem. Apparently, they believe that they are covered by a "disclaimer" which states that they rely on the description of the vehicle as supplied by the manufacturer and therefore cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies. I then began a long process of phone calls and emails before they finally decided to make me an offer of retro fitting some after market parking sensors to the vehicle which retail at £175. After further discussions regarding the fitting arrangements and guarantee for the work etc,. I decide to go ahead and have them fitted. They asked me to be at their Service Centre at 08:00 on the day the work was to take place and they told me that a courtesy car had been reserved for me to use whilst the work was being carried out. I duly arrived at the Service Centre at the designated time. However, no one actually approached me or even acknowledged my presence for at least 20 minutes! Finally, I was attended to and I was told that they would be in touch later in the day to advise when the car was ready. I pointed out that I was expecting a courtesy car, and they said "Oh yes", I think they had forgotten, "It's just outside" they said. After trauling through all the necessary paperwork to provide insurance on the courtesy car, I finally got away about an hour after I arrived. I drove to a local shopping area where I parked the car and went off to await their call. At about 11:30 I received a call from the Service Centre. Naturally I wondered what they wanted since they had told me it would take all day to fit the sensors. To my dismay, the call was to inform me that they had in fact ordered the wrong sensors and therefore they would not be able to complete the work that day. Now, you can imagine how I was feeling by this time. The Service Centre was 40 miles away from my home. I had made a special effort to be there at 08:00 as they had requested, and now they were suggesting that I do the same again in a couple of weeks time when they had obtained the correct kit! You can use your imagination to know what I said to them. Needless to say, I was far from happy and just wanted to get the car back and go home. I told them that they could pay me the money for the kit and that I would then deal with it myself. When I arrived at the Dealership, I decided to ask to speak to the Manager who had made the arrangements for the work. Well, surprise, surprise, I was informed that he no longer works for the Company. They did however, agree to giving me a cheque for £175. Now, in conclusion, if you would like an experience such as mine when deciding to purchase a new car, go ahead, use this dealership! As for me, I wish I had never heard of them. My recommendation would be to avoid this dealer. "
