Part of the arrangement was for the car to be shipped to Glasgow on a low loader, with it being collected late afternoon on the day prior to delivery, which was supposed to be sometime the following afternoon. I waited for delivery until late afternoon and when it was obvious that nothing was happening, I contacted the dealer yet again. I was told that the car had definitely been collected as arranged but the low loader had broken down. Arrangements were being made to bring the car back. I was offered another delivery time nearly a week later which was unacceptable. Furthermore it was going to be driven up and not on the back of a truck, also contrary to my instructions. To cap it all, the salesman told me he was going on annual leave and had passed this to management. Yet again I contacted Motorvogue, this time speaking to the manager concerned. I was told that the car had never been collected in the first place ie the story about it being picked up but the carrier breaking down on the A1 was clearly a pack of lies. Why not just tell the truth? Tell me that the carrier had let them down and hadn't turned up as arranged? It would have saved me a day hanging round waiting for a delivery that wasn't going to happen.. I had to accept delivery 3 days later with the car being driven here which was exactly what I didn't want. Very poor. On checking the car on delivery, I found a number of issues with it. One of the rear headrests was missing, two of the alloy wheels were damaged, there were parking scrapes on the front and on the nsr wheel arch and lastly, more stone chips than I had ever seen on a car of this age and mileage. This despite the fact I was advised the car was in excellent condition. Rather than go back once again to Motorvogue I decided to rectify the faults myself. Not a good experience. Lesson learned."
