The 2005 Toyota Corolla is part of a generation of design that first arrived in 2002 and was facelifted for 2004. It was intended by its maker to offer a more premium experience to compete with the Mk4 Volkswagen Golf. That was successful to a certain extent, but the Toyota Corolla will still appeal most to those seeking a dependable and cheap-to-run car rather than one that delivers any sort of luxury feel.
