The 2010 Citroen C5 is a large family car built by the French company, and it was offered in both saloon and estate car forms, the latter known as the ‘Touring’. In its day, it competed with the likes of the Ford Mondeo, Volkswagen Passat and Mazda 6. The 2010 model represented the second generation of the C5 model line, which was a vast improvement over its predecessor in a number of areas, most notably its impressive ride comfort, roomy and practical cabin, refined and economical engine range (especially the diesels) and its solid, Germanic-feeling build quality.

If you’re looking for a comfortable and quiet motorway car, then very few at this price level can compete with the big Citroen, because it’s brilliant at this job. As a general all-rounder, though, the Mondeo is the better choice, with more controlled driving manners, but still with plenty of space, comfort and quality.
