The Ford Kuga SUV was originally launched in 2008 and was replaced by the second-generation version in 2012 (that’s since been replaced by a third-generation model), so the 2010 Ford Kuga is a car that sat right in the middle of the Mk1 model’s lifespan. It was based on the underpinnings of the contemporary Ford Focus hatchback, and although it didn’t quite have the sprightly handling of its lighter, lower sibling, the Kuga still changed direction with more vigour than most SUVs of the time, while still maintaining a good level of ride comfort.
