The 2017 Volkswagen Crafter represents the switchover from the first-generation Crafter - the German firm’s largest panel van - to the second-generation version. Serving between 2006 and 2017, the first-gen Crafter was essentially a rebadged version of the contemporary Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, but the 2017 replacement was all Volkswagen.
