The 2019 Ford Transit Custom is a hugely popular commercial vehicle – and with good reason. Not only is it reliable, tough, spacious and reasonable value for money, it also comes with a broad variety of body styles, load lengths, seat layouts and payload capacities. In 2018, the model was given much-improved in-cabin storage, and in 2019 a plug-in hybrid model was made available for the first time. That the Transit Custom is also one of the best medium-sized vans to drive is merely icing on the cake.

## Is the 2019 Ford Transit Custom better than the 2019 Vauxhall Vivaro? An alternative to the 2019 Ford Transit Custom is the 2019 Vauxhall Vivaro. It’s British-built, which is perhaps a key part of its appeal, and it shares its platform with similar vans from Citroen, Peugeot and Toyota. It’s comfortable and easy to live with, but not quite as practical as the Transit, nor quite as enjoyable to drive.
