The 2019 Kia Sorento might not be the last word in exciting automotive transport, but this seven-seat family SUV is a shining example of the excellent products that Kia has delivered in recent years. Its styling is restrained and elegant, and completely in keeping with premium-badged rivals, as is the car’s build quality. There’s also an impressive list of standard equipment to consider, as well as a long seven-year manufacturer warranty. If it were a little more exciting to drive, and offered hybrid drivetrains (the newer model does) it’d be darn-near perfect.

Is the 2019 Kia Sorento better than the 2019 Skoda Kodiaq?

Both the Skoda Kodiaq and the Kia Sorento major on delivering plenty of interior space, solid build quality and reliability, so it’s quite hard to split the two. The Kodiaq’s entry-level engines are a little weaker, but it is slightly better to drive, and offers the choice of two- or four-wheel-drive models, while the Sorento is four-wheel-drive only.
