CarGurus UK has announced the winners of its annual Top Dealer Awards, recognising businesses that are going the extra mile to drive trust and transparency with car-buyers.
For 2025, CarGurus UK continues with two award categories: Top Rated Dealer and Top Value Dealer. These are designed to highlight dealerships that excel in providing exceptional service and value to UK car-buyers. All awards are based on reviews submitted and data gathered in the previous year.

Top Rated Dealer Award
The long-running Top Rated Dealer Award celebrates dealers who have received an average dealer rating from CarGurus UK car shoppers of 4.5 out of 5 stars or higher.
As a pioneer in adding dealer ratings to used car listings, CarGurus makes it easy for shoppers to identify trusted businesses. Shoppers are invited to submit a review of a dealership once they have submitted a lead via the CarGurus website or app, via a star rating and space for additional comments. Once approved by CarGurus, reviews appear on any vehicle listings that a dealership has on the CarGurus platform, as well as on the dealer's showroom page on CarGurus.
Top Value Dealer Award
The use of deal ratings to help consumers understand how the price of a particular vehicle compares to others they could buy is another of the innovations that CarGurus introduced to the vehicle listings market. CarGurus deal ratings range from 'Great Deal' all the way through to 'Overpriced', and are based on extensive analysis of thousands of similar cars currently and recently listed for sale.
Introduced in 2024 and continued for this year, the Top Value Dealer Award recognises those dealerships that have aimed to deliver consistently excellent value in terms of car pricing. It is given to the top 100 dealerships on CarGurus with the highest percentage of vehicle deal ratings classified as 'Good' or 'Great', adding an additional layer of transparency for consumers as they browse vehicles for sale.
How to Find an Award Winning Dealership
For car-buyers, tracking down a top-rated dealership on CarGurus is easy thanks to the introduction of on-site badging that appears on qualifying cars listed for sale. Winning businesses are also awarded with a physical plaque to display in their dealership.
