Agreed a price with owner and was told car was in excellent condition with only the odd stonechip on the paintwork. I paid a deposit and arranged to pick the car up and make full payment. Having driven over an hour to get the car it was certainly not in excellent condition. There was plenty of scratches with the nearside bumper and headlamp severely scratched. It was that bad the bodyshop could do nothing with the headlamp, but they would not replace it. Therefore I wasted over 3 hours of my day as well as fuel and bridge tolls.

A very pleasant and courteous Andrew Shaw rang me first thing on the Monday morning. Any questions I asked were dealt with speedily and efficiently. He gave me the information I asked for without "sales waffle" I would very much like to have bought this car, I am a real VW fan. However after further investigation I find I am not at present in the position of going ahead with this purchase. This has nothing to do with yourselves, Corten Miller Garages or the car, much more to do with the finance package I have been offered. At present I have decided to try and keep my old "Beetle" going for a bit longer. However in the future, if the situation changeds I wouldn't hesitate to contact Corten Miller Garages or indeed recommend them given the very good customer service I experienced.
