I reserved a used car with a frayed driver's seat belt (not declared in the dealership's advert but noted on 2 prev MOTs). As it's an offence to sell/drive a vehicle with damaged safety features as roadworthy, I emailed to ask if it would be replaced prior to sale, to which I got no reply, just photos of seat belts, no text. I politely replied that I would be happy to proceed if the dealership was willing/able to replace the seat belt, but again got no reply. With no further communication 9 days after paying the reservation fee of £99, I called the branch to request a refund but no one seemed to know what was happening or why I hadn't been refunded. Edie, a sales rep called back, frankly shirking the company's duty of care by attempting to dismiss my safety concerns. 'OK' the only reply to asstertions that I take safety seriously after a family member sustained life changing injuries in an accident with a roadwothy car versus a drunk driver. No email/refund. Always check MOT history!
