(1 reviews)Probably, the AC Ace is one of the most quintessential, classic, British sports cars. It was beautifully designed, modelled after a Ferrari. The original Weller AC engine was designed around 1920 and was later replaced by a BMW designed, Bristol engine. Later cars were fitted with various V8 engines from the US. The unusual chassis layout with transverse leaf springs provided extraordinary road holding, which is the reason the later cars were fitted with more powerful engines. Even today, AC Aces are regularly winning races in their class on the racetrack.
