Great value car runs smoothly perfect for what I need

The features are good, it has fair value, its missing that smoothness and gentle flow, its a bit of a rough rider, I would compare it to Vauxhall Astra 09 model, bit rough, but it can go very fast in a straight line, when coming to slow pace driving, that is when you begin to notice all the rough edges, some forward jerking, on moving off, little unpleasant noises, like spring noise, and some other little issues regarding noises, which can be ironed out with some checking and servicing, overall not a bad daily driver just need some attention.

The 2.0. PD engine deserves 5 stars all the way, with reliability being the top of the list. Powerful and economical, eats up motorway miles with ease and no problems. Yes, the engine is noisy but I would put up with that all day that because of its fantastic performance. The body only got 4 stars because its just not as good and doesnt stand the test of time like is well engineered heart. The sills are starting to bubble slightly, the wheels hate the whiff of salt and the headlining is beginning to droop? If it was for the body, I would have kept this car for another 7 years, probably longer.

It is excellent because a Golf is reliable and even on a old winter morning it will start with alacrity
