Used 2014 Porsche Cayman for sale near London

The car I bought had a good spec every thing laid out well and surprisingly self explanatory...... more throbread than a Merc or Audi

Pre ‘16 means mid engined, flat 6 wonderfulness. As with anything Porsche, faults can be costly. Check and double check when buying. Little indicators of a well kept Cayman include rotors and brake pads changed at the same time, not just pads; nil smell of coolant anywhere, esp internal air vents upon first starting - the coolant tank is situated where it gets blasted by road debris and so May be prone to hairline fractures and pin sized leaks. Similarly the front air intakes - check for any rotting matter with a torch. Get right in there to the far corners. Cv joints; judder upon reversing esp when on full lock, check there are no pebbles trapped behind the inner guards. Pzero are excellent but gummy tyres. There are wise heads partial to a bit of Bavarian that say getting harder compound rubbers cuts the pebble issue dramatically without compromising all important grip. Anyway, ramble over. Caymans are sublime, robust, low maintenance, demons. Below 4K rpm, they are a slightly cumbersome hit hatch. Sport mode and over 4K and while not the quickest, defy gravity in handling. 59mph corners are whipped thru at 70 without a blink. Phenomenal.
