Used 2016 Ford Ranger for sale near Bristol
Thanks to great British stalwarts like the Transit van, Ford is a very well established name in the commercial vehicle industry, so it’s perhaps of very little surprise that the Ford Ranger is the UK’s biggestselling - and therefore, most popular - pickup truck. The 2016 Ford Ranger represents the third-generation model that served between 2011 and 2022, and it benefitted from the extensive facelift given to the Ranger in 2015. This facelift brought not only smarter looks on the outside, but also a vastly improved interior, an upgraded infotainment system and increased safety equipment.## Strengths: One of the best pickups on the road
Big loadbed and good payload
Five stars from EuroNCAP
## Weaknesses: The contemporary VW Amarok is a bit more civilised
A couple of recurring reliability niggles
Some rivals are more rugged
## Is the 2016 Ford Ranger better than the 2016 Mitsubishi L200? That depends what sort of truck you’re after. If you want a no-nonsense workhorse that’ll be as rugged as possible and return mile-after-mile of faithful load-carrying service, then you’ll probably be better off with the Mitsubishi. If, however, you’re after more of an everyday truck that’s civilised enough to double as a family car and can even provide some entertainment from behind the wheel, then the Ford is the truck for you.
