Best of the choices at the price - a very comfortable and efficient car

Having reviewed the Ioniq it met all our needs and it drives like a dream and affordable. I will upgrade to the premium next time around and then after go all electric.

The hybrid Ioniq is what might be termed - a typical modern car. It has all the features we have come to expect - climate control, DAB radio, blue tooth, and sat nav - except my one as it is not functioning!!! It is a comfortable ride as it rides on 15 inch tyres. Performance is good without being outstanding and fuel economy is so far as good as my Jaguar XE but nowhere near the advertised levels. The one thing I do not appreciate about modern cars is that they are bossy. As an example, this car tells you off if you do not totally shut it down when you are just sitting in it - because you might run the battery down. Thinking back, this is about my 20th Hyundai and they have all done their jobs without complaint and have served me well. The complexity of the Ioniq is a concern but time will tell.

My friend bought an Hyundai Hybrid and I had a drive. I liked the car. As for the one I looked at I can’t rate it as it had sold before I saw it. My rating is based on my friends and having driven that one.
