Although the 2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport looks verys similar indeed to older versions of the same car, under the bodywork is a completely new set of underpinnings – and one that can accommodate a very effective plug-in hybrid version. This redesigned Discovery also gets a much more impressive infotainment system that’s far more intuitive to use, while the model’s build quality seems to be markedly improved. On top of that, it’s as good to drive as any of its ostensibly more sporty rivals from Audi or BMW, and remains one of the most compact seven-seater SUVs on the market. A talented and likeable car.
