Overview

The 2020 Mitsubishi L200 is part of the Series 6 generation of this popular pickup. Although not as groundbreaking as the Series 5, the 2020 car was even more sophisticated and easy to live with – utterly unlike the far more rough-and-ready pickups of old. Rivals such as the Ford Ranger or Toyota Hilux have slightly more robust engines and are slightly roomier, but the keen pricing of the Mitsubishi L200 and its generous levels of standard equipment help make up for that deficit. The fact that the L200 is physically slightly smaller, too, makes it a little bit less unwieldy on busy urban roads.
Strengths:
Range-topping models have lots of standard kit
The diesel engine is fuel-efficient
Easier to drive around town than bigger pickups
Weaknesses:
Some rivals offer more power and performance
A SsangYong Musso is better value
The Ford Ranger has a bigger load bed
Is the 2020 Mitsubishi L200 better than the 2020 Ford Ranger?
The 2020 Ford Ranger is pretty much the king of the pickups if you want a driving experience that’s as close to that of a posh SUV as possible. That said, the L200 is slightly more compact, and arguably better value for money than the big Ford.
