Used 2021 Bentley Continental for sale near Bicester

(2 reviews)Unreliable. Spent 6 months in garage as spare parts unobtainable. One problem was fixed before the next one arose. A rear light cluster is on 3.5 months delivery, for example. The creak in the drivers seat was persistent and whole seat had to be rebuilt at £250 plus vat an hour. Handbook almost impossible to understand and never knew what half the gismos did and there was no explanation. Passenger seat belt jammed whenever there was a passenger and so much so my wife could not even use the car in the 12 months of my ownership as she has breathing problems and there is no release after you start driving or if that works short term it jams on the first breaking occasion. She got frightened and waited every time for the belt tensioners which didnt work to strike! I even had to contact the CEO of Bentley pleading with him to supply spare parts to let the car pass its MoT but to no avail. Then to join the list of problems the boot wouldnt open without clever maneuvering and the automatic parking brake would not release when the car started but skidded until you manually released this automatic addition. A Bentley was always my dream but became my nightmare. Dont even go there, would be my advice. Pity as conceptually the best car I have ever driven but just badly put together. You will need a spare car to drive whilst it is being repaired and I missed the hottest summer ever as the car wouldnt pass the MoT because of all the faults and lack of anyway of remedying them. The highlight of my ownership was the Bank Transfer.
Ive been a car nut since I was 8yrs old when I helped my dad rebuild an engine. Now 62yrs on and many ionic cars later such as E-type,s and Aston Martins. Im looking for another car. Ive always liked the Bently over the Rolls Royce. I originally looked at the Mulsan then I saw the continental. Those sweeping lines a most beautiful and elegant car. Then it was a case of the V8 or the W12 engine. I looked at both slightly better fuel economy from the V8 still very good performance. But the geek in me really appreciated the design of the W12. Then the test drive of both engines the V8 is a strong engine and will delight most drivers. But the W12 has the edge for me. Then theres the craftsmanship. These are truly hand built you can choose so many options in different coloured leathers. Which will all flow effortlessly over the seats and dash every stitch perfectly formed. Then the ride and comfort you can only get from air suspension. Then the most important thing these days safety. This car takes care of you with its anti collision systems its parking assist and 360° camera,s. I cant wait till the summer to take across Europe and on Germany,s auto barn. But has to be late at night or early hours of the morning as they suffer with congestion on there motorways to. So until then Im quite happy to drive around the English country side nowing that even the 4 wheel drive system will not let me down and snow at least in the southern parts of England will not be a problem for this car.
