When the generation of Mercedes A-Class that the 2021 Mercedes-Benz A-Class hails from was launched (in 2019), it genuinely looked like something from a sci-fi film, with a glitzy interior full of swish ambient light and, in some models, a huge screen stretching two thirds of the way across the cabin and incorporating the infotainment system and driver’s display.
