The 2022 Nissan Navara was the swansong for the Japanese firm’s big pickup truck in the UK, because that was the year it was withdrawn from sale as a new vehicle. Not because it wasn't popular or because it wasn’t selling well - it was, on both counts - but because of tough new emissions laws faced by vehicle manufacturers. The fact that the Navara was one of the best pickups out there made this an even greater shame. It was civilised and comfortable to drive compared with other trucks, it was good off-road, it had some of the best load volume and payload figures going and it was comparatively economical. You can't buy a brand new one, but as the last of the line, buying a 2022 Nissan Navara is the closest thing you’ll get.

If you just want an out-and-out workhorse, then the HiLux is a bit more rugged and comes with a better warranty.
