Overview
If you’re after a hybrid family SUV that delivers low running costs, excellent equipment levels and a comfortable cabin, the 2022 Toyota RAV4 is a fine choice. It also comes with the peace of mind that Toyota’s reputation for reliability delivers, plus a manufacturer warranty that lasts for up to 10 years provided you take the car to a Toyota dealership. The RAV4 is a five-seater only, so larger families may want to consider 7-seat rivals such as the Skoda Kodiaq, or take a look at Toyota’s own Highlander. There’s also no diesel option, which some SUV buyers still prefer.
Strengths:
Comfortable and easy to drive
Hybrid power makes the RAV4 efficient and economical
Reliable, and comes with a long warranty
Weaknesses:
Pricier than many petrol and diesel alternatives
Only available with five seats when some rivals have seven
Wind and road noise at speed
Is the 2022 Toyota RAV4 better than the Year Make Model?
The sharply styled 2022 Hyundai Tucson is a refined and powerful hybrid alternative to the 2022 Toyota RAV4. The advantage of the Tucson is that it is also available as a mild hybrid or a straightforward petrol model, though in hybrid form its six-speed automatic isn’t as smooth as the Toyota’s CVT auto.

Great instrument panel, nice shape but being under 5 ft the wing mirror was too close after my seat adjustment

Car is superb. The only point I will make is that I think the satnav/ music system could be better - as it is in the new model. I only wish a new model would be available sooner so I can buy one. I have to settle for a second hand one for another year!!

Drives smoothly, has lots of functions including reverse camara, cruise control notify me when appraochibg a cemera. You only need to have the key on you and the car will open when touched. The only down side is that it is expensive to drive even with the hybride function.
