Went to see the car. Door locking system was faulty and car smelt bad! They
assured me they would rectify these as the car was mechanically sound. I
arranged to return one week later, so agreed to take the car off sale, I
rearranged dropping off kids with babysitters to make the second
appointment (35 miles from where I live) - then they told me they had sold
the car anyway! May seem trivial, but infuriating. Sales guy was really decent
- his managers were very poor. I complained on social media, CarShop head
office got back in touch to apologise and ask for the details. I gave them all
the info - never heard back from them. Again, infuriating. A real lack of
personal service. I will not be going back to them.

I find the habit of stating a price and then adding an admin fee on top
displays a lack of transparency and could create a feeling of a lack of
integrity and honesty for the dealer and make one wonder if there were any
other practise that may be not in keeping with an honest and full disclosure.
For me it displays a lack of empathy for a potential customer and rather
steers one away. They should just state the price and that is it and any
'admin charges' are held within...

We're working hard to make all of our pricing and practices as transparent as possible and we are very open to feedback from customers through all forms of review site. Each vehicle is subject to an administration fee covering the preparation of your vehicle, the processing of the paperwork, secure V5 processing to the DVLA and the provision of an HPI report for your vehicle. This costs £99 and is shown in the presentation

Each vehicle is subject to an administration fee covering the preparation of your vehicle, the processing of the paperwork, secure V5 processing to the DVLA and the provision of an HPI report for your vehicle. This costs £99 and is shown in the presentation of price of every vehicle on the price and specification showcard in the front windscreen, on the terminals we use to display each vehicle to customers prior to test drive and on the sales order. We understand your concerns but we are happy that we make the admin fee as prominent as we can and have worked closely with our trading standards authority to be upfront with this charge, which is also common across the motor industry.

Made an appointment to see the car, but nothing set up on arrival.
Salesman and the business Manager who I dealt with were both
efficient and friendly.
The car was as advertised and as expected with easy access to the
test drive.
As always, I was given "encouragement to take up special paint
protection and extended warranty which is only to be expected. As I
plan to keep the car I did invest in the paint protection.
The Business Manager was very helpful setting up the PCP with
support when needed, even though this was his first.I am collecting
my car today and will finalise my experience after this.
