Astra high revs but not much power

My revs go up but no power to car and
power steerin gone heavy iv checks oils OK
and the pipe is rock hard in engin

You don't say which Astra you have, but if the engine is revving high but is not accelerating much it sounds like your clutch might be slipping? What pipe is rock hard in engine? If the steering has gone heavy there maybe problem with the power steering system/belt. Provide us with a bit more information on the fault and we'll try to help.

I have 2010 astra 1.6 sri when mainly gear down and car is warm it revs round to 3000 revs ans drops back down any idea what this could be had new spark plugs and coil pack already
