Difference between 2005 models and 2006 models

I want to buy a hard top for my truck but am being asked what model I have as they changed in 2006.
Mine is a 56 plate.

2006 you can get an intigrated bed similar to the avalanche or a regular bed like pickups from day one. bring your truck to that shop so they know what theyre workin with.
