Used 2023 Peugeot 308 for sale near Greater London

The Peugeot 308 is a striking and handsome family hatchback that’s good to dive and which feels both plush and high-tech. It comes with turbocharged petrol or diesel engines and a choice of plug-in hybrids, as well as a fully electric model with a range of around 250 miles. It has a slightly quirky driving position and there are more spacious rivals, but if ultimate space isn’t a top priority and you get on with the driving position, then it will likely prove a thoroughly enjoyable motoring companion. And if you really need the space, there’s an estate version available.

Strengths:

Hi-tech interior
Wide engine range
Cost-effective to run

Weaknesses:

Rivals offer better practicality
Quirky driving position won't suit everybody
Choppy low speed ride

Is the 2023 Peugeot 308 better than the 2023 Volkswagen Golf?

The 2023 Peugueot 308 is much closer in interior quality to the Volkswagen Golf than it's ever been before. In fact, there's very little to separate the two. Much the same can be said of the way the two cars drive, because both are highly competent family cars. There are, however, two major differences that might help you decide which one to buy. The first is that the Peugeot 308 is available with a fully electric drivetrain, where the VW Golf is not. And the second is that the 308's i-Cockpit driving position with its small steering wheel simply doesn't suit all drivers, in which case the Golf is the default choice in this particular comparison.
