Citroen C5 X (2022-present) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |

| Very practical interior | Plug-in hybrid could be smoother |
| Good value | Infotainment can be clunky |
| Excellent ride comfort | No diesel option |
Quick Summary
The Citroen C5 X (2022-present) is a distinctive mid-sized estate car that blends executive luxury styling with SUV-like ruggedness, offering a unique alternative to conventional estates and family SUVs. It features front-wheel drive, a slightly raised ride height, and a choice of 1.2- or 1.6-litre petrol engines, plus a plug-in hybrid with up to 34 miles of electric range, all paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It offers excellent practicality with broad, comfortable seats, ample rear space, and a generous boot (545 litres for petrol, 485 litres for PHEV).
The C5 X excels in comfort, thanks to Citroen's Advanced Comfort Suspension, providing a limo-like ride. While not designed for enthusiastic driving due to light steering and some body lean, it's well-equipped from the entry-level, featuring 19-inch alloys, LED headlights, parking sensors, and a 10-inch touchscreen. Running costs are competitive, with strong depreciation forecasts and good value pricing. The 1.2 PureTech 130 offers around 40mpg in real-world use, and the PHEV can be very economical if regularly charged. Overall, it's a charming, comfortable, and practical family car that stands out from the crowd.
Best for: Drivers seeking a distinctive, comfortable, and practical family car, those looking for good value in an estate or SUV alternative, or buyers who prioritise ride comfort over sporty handling.
Not ideal for: Buyers prioritising sharp handling and enthusiastic driving dynamics, those who need three individual rear seats with Isofix points, or those who prefer a more conventional SUV or estate without the "shooting-brake" styling.

It provides excellent comfort, generous equipment, and competitive pricing, making it a strong value proposition against rivals like the VW Passat Estate. 4.5 Overall rating
(2 reviews)Everything is great apart from the lane keeping feature which can be removed but is a nuisance if if you forget to do this after starting the car, which you need to do every time Not sure yet about the active cruise either. I think I prefer just basic cruise control. This is my view after 500 miles so things may change.
Think the car is a usual class Citroen auto, but the upholstery and engine sizes let it down.
