Mercedes pitches the EQV as an electric seven-seat MPV, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that it’s based on a van. And while that makes it incredibly spacious, it also makes it very cumbersome – and because of its poor aerodynamics, it needs a massive battery in order to have a usable range. The result is that it’s also very expensive to buy.
