I think any Mercedes particularly the SLK, when buying 2nd hand brings some risk. If you can afford to lose the invested amount and or pay for expensive repairs/parts, then ok. If this is your 'saved up for car' or a car to be used everyday, don't do it. I have driven the SLK for over 19 years, the same car and I still love it. I only sold mine due to moving overseas. As a new car brilliant, more than 5 years old not so much. The pros is that it is economical on fuel, smooth and looks good no matter how old. However, there are more cons on a used Merc than pros. 1. Heated seats, electric seats etc wear quickly. They can be damaged by the moving of the seat back and forth and when this goes the computer goes and usually all the electrics. - Expensive to repair/replace. 2. SLK's are prone to letting water in, in rainy seasons as the outlet from the bonnet is on one side and can be blocked easily by leaves etc. Same for the boot. Water inside the car can affect the electronics which are on the floor of a Mercedes (go figure). - Very expensive to repair. 3. Roof mechanism can become problematic and stick after some years. - Expensive to repair 4. Services are expensive 5. Tires are expensive 6. Central locking if your key goes is expensive to replace and often no one able to do so other than Mercedes (we found a local who was a mobile key person) And although it looks so good it is not a comfortable ride in general due to it's low proximity to the ground -however that is most sportscars.

This car is very well priced for what it is. The mileage is low, general condition is good. There is no heated seats or reverse sensors on this example. Where the cup holder is in the dashboard, there is only a pull out shelf. The Kompressor badges are missing behind the front wheel arches, which the dealer is more than helpful to sort out. This is a good example of this model, backed up by a good dealer.
