The Mercedes-Benz C-Class C220 CDI Sport is a variant of the C-Class offered by Mercedes on the first three generations of the car, the Mk1 (W202) sold between 1993 and 2000, the Mk2 (W203) sold between 2000 and 2007, and the Mk3 (W204) sold between 2007 and 2014. The first one appeared in 1998 powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, which was replaced by a 2.1 in 1999, and both had 123bhp. Both versions of the C220 CDI since have had a 2.1-litre engine, the Mk2 with 141bhp until 2004 when it was uprated to 148bhp, and the Mk3 having 168bhp. Sport trim added racier styling.
