The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is a high-performance (well, even more high-performance...) limited-edition variant of the 911 sports car. The first GTS appeared in 2011 on the 997 generation of the car, and it was designed as a more driver-focused alternative to the regular 911, but not as hardcore as the more track-focused GT3 variant. It had a wide-body design and wider track (the only rear-drive 911 to get the wider design, usually reserved for only the four-wheel drive models), plus various other specialist styling features, such as centre-lock wheels and a reflective strip between the rear lights. It had an uprated flat-six engine with more that 400 horsepower. The formula received such critical acclaim that the GTS became a mainstay of the 911 range, appearing in every generation of the car since.
