A performance all-rounder rather than a driver’s car for the ages, the RS5 is a high-powered version of the Audi A5, but struggles to make a strong case for itself in a segment packed full of talent. While it has speed, wet weather grip and day-to-day usability in abundance, it offers neither the kind of thrilling soundtrack nor the engaging handling that might make a person fall for it.
