BMW M3 E46 Review (2000-2006)
There was something just so right about BMW’s E46 M3; even today, over 20 years after its introduction, it’s still revered as a sports car icon. There’s never been such a thing as a bad BMW M3, but with the E46 generation that was manufactured from 2000 to 2006, BMW really pulled out all the stops in the search for perfection. From its subtle but chunky good looks to its rasping exhaust, to its deft yet forgiving chassis, it seemed to have it all. Here was a car that was equally at home putting in hot laps on track, hitting its 155mph limiter on the autobahn, or cruising at the legal limit with commensurate refinement. It even had five seats and a decently-sized boot.
