The BMW i7 takes the traditional luxury limousine formula and translates it into something fully electric saloon, all without losing the sense of occasion you’d expect from a flagship BMW. It’s incredibly quiet, supremely comfortable and packed with technology, with a rear-seat experience that feels closer to a private lounge than a conventional car. While it may not match the Mercedes-Benz EQS or Tesla Model S for outright efficiency, the i7 counters with superior cabin quality, strong performance and a more traditional luxury feel.

It’s undeniably large, expensive and not quite as practical as some electric rivals. However, if comfort, presence and cutting-edge tech matter more than squeezing out every last mile of range, the BMW i7 is one of the most impressive and opulent luxury EVs you can buy.
