The Sealion 5 also offers plug-in hybrid petrol power as standard, with a fully electric range of up to 53 miles. BYD reckons it’ll be one of the most popular new cars it sells, and while it lacks polish in some areas, the combination of pricing and hybrid tech should boost its appeal.
