had the aircross C3 for 3 years and loved it. But needed something a touch smaller and cheaper, so went for the C3 hatchback. Much the same car. Looks the part, reliable and i hope to get 5/8 years out of it. Dont see why not. Nice drive as well.

Citroën C3 (2025) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Cool styling inside and out | Entry-level engine not great on pace or refinement |
| Comfy ride | Some ergonomic frustrations |
| Relatively affordable | Bare-minimum warranty arrangement |
Quick Summary
The Citroën C3 (2025) is a stylish and cheerful budget supermini that trades traditional hatchback design for a raised SUV-like stance. Despite its compact four-metre footprint, it offers surprising interior space with good headroom and legroom for rear passengers. The car features a comfortable ride courtesy of Advanced Comfort Suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions, making daily driving easy and relaxing. Standard equipment is generous for the price, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic LED headlights, and rear parking sensors on the Plus trim.
Two petrol engines are available: a 98bhp turbocharged 1.2-litre manual achieving up to 52.0mpg, and a 108bhp hybrid automatic delivering 59.2mpg. Whilst the entry-level engine is noisy and underpowered, requiring high revs for adequate pace, the hybrid offers a more refined and relaxed experience. Running costs are low, with insurance group 24 and a flat VED rate of £195 annually. However, the narrow rear door openings, limited 310-litre boot space, and quirky square steering wheel present practical compromises. The infotainment system, whilst simple, suffers from confusing menu layouts and dated graphics.
Best for: Budget-conscious buyers seeking stylish, affordable transport with a comfortable ride, families needing a practical city car, and those prioritising low running costs over performance.
Not ideal for: Drivers requiring strong performance, refined engines, or those who value premium infotainment systems and ergonomic excellence.
Comparison vs Key Rivals

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Citroën C3 | 4/5 | 4.9/5 | 37.8% | 4.4/5 |
| Peugeot 208 | 3/5 | 5.0/5 | 33.3% | 4.3/5 |
| Dacia Sandero | 3/5 | 4.8/5 | 36.0% | 4.2/5 |

The Verdict
You should buy the C3 if: You're budget-conscious and seeking stylish, affordable transport with a comfortable ride, or need a practical city car with low running costs.
Consider alternatives if: You require strong performance, refined engines, or value premium infotainment systems and ergonomic excellence.
Competitive Position: The Citroën C3 (2025) is a compelling choice in the budget supermini segment, offering excellent value, distinctive styling, and genuine comfort. Whilst it lacks the refinement of the Peugeot 208 and the sheer affordability of the Dacia Sandero, the C3 strikes an appealing balance between price, practicality, and appeal. Its comfortable ride and cheerful interior make it an engaging daily driver, and the hybrid powertrain option provides a more refined alternative to the entry-level engine. For budget-conscious buyers prioritising comfort and style over performance, the C3 represents a genuinely likeable and capable proposition.
